Kanye West will be among the first guests on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

The "Bound 2" rapper is part of a star-studded line-up including John Mayer, Lena Dunham and Vice President Joe Biden, who will all appear throughout the week when the chat show debuts on NBC on February 24. Among the other guests will be Kelly Ripa, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Sophia Bush, Trio, Brad Paisley and A Great Big World.

Guests Line Up for Tonight Show’s New Start

Will Ferrell might not be interested in visiting The Tonight Show anytime soon, but there are plenty of other celebrities who are still willing to promote themselves

support Jay Leno.

Based on the star-studded list released by NBC, Leno’s booking department is having an easy time finding guests for his return to late night—but will the viewers actually be tuning in to watch them?

Carrie Underwood Holiday Special: Why Bother?

American Idol winner Carrie Underwood will take over the TV tonight for a two-hour holiday special that begins airing on FOX at 8 pm. Dolly Parton, Christina Applegate, David Cook and Brad Paisley are only a few of the stars you can expect to see. But should you actually spend your time watching this primetime event?

If you’re expecting a sweet holiday tear-jerker, don’t. Underwood’s special will undoubtedly be a star-studded event filled with great music and moments meant to make you laugh…but it’s also going to be over-stuffed with blatant promotional techniques that help suck any benevolence out of the season. Don’t forget that American Idol will be returning soon, and FOX has got an important agenda to push.

• Chuck (NBC, 8pm):  “Chuck chances upon his ex-flame (Jordana Brewster) and embellishes his status in life to impress her.” We’re talking about a girl who starred in D.E.B.S.. He shouldn’t try too hard.
• Prison Break (FOX, 9pm):  “Gretchen gives Michael the rest of the bird book, but he suffers another seizure after deciphering it.” That pretty much sums up my feelings about bird books as well.
• Samantha Who? (ABC, 9:30):  “Sam is sentenced to community service, where she meets a troubled young woman (Mary-Kate Olsen) and decides to help turn her life around.” Sam has now become the better-looking version of Earl Hickey.
• 17 Kids and Counting (TLC, 10pm):  “Jinger takes her driving test; the family celebrates Michelle’s birthday and responds to viewer questions.” Uhh, I have a question. Jinger? Seriously?
